Bottle from Inn At Home, Guildford. Malty caramel and hay. Herbs and a veg edge then come through. An opaque medium brown. Creamy off-white head. Surprisingly light - some sweetness followed by maltyness that builds in strength. Light bitter finish. I guess there’s also a house hint of alcohol in the finish. Medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Muted finish. Hmm, not sure what to make of it. A very polite English Strong Ale, but then it is from Guildford! Drinkable. Enjoyable. Low impact.
