From a cask on the bar into a vintage looking tankard glass, old school proper! Deep dark brown with a small bubbly tan head and a sweet roasted malt aroma. Light bodied, dark fruits predominate, a hint of liquorice, finishes dry and just very slightly bitter.

11/3/2023. Cask at the 2023 Coventry Beer Festival. Pours close to black with a small bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of blackberry, blackcurrant, roasted malt, chocolate, toffee, plum jam. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, oily, soft carbonation. Good.
