Dåse fra Vinbuðin, Akureyri. Klar gylden med et stort skum. Dufter af gran. En del bitterhed i smagen.

(Can, 0.44 l - BB 06.03.2023, at Skúli, 20220912) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was large, white and it lasted long. Aroma had black currant leaves, fruitiness and grain. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, black currant leaves, spiciness, grain, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy, grainy and bitter. A tasty hoppy brew with grainy notes.

440mL can, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Nose brings out a gentle white wine tangy from the Nelson, with some citra and light grassiness. Flavour brings out the Nelson quite nicely, with a nice citrusy white wine tang, some grassy hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Not as pungent as some other Nelson hopped pilsners, but this is clean and vibrant — everything I want in a pils. Excellent.
