Bottle that Marko brought along one year ago and has been sat in our fridge ever since, cheers Marko. Had this Friday 13th February at the Manglham 2nd Winter Tasting listening to Geese - Getting Killed. Jonas cooked Pasta Carbonara, it was fab'. Chocolate and coffee combine, chocolate chip and mint ice cream with a bit of mint that Marko and Jonas picked up on. Smooth mouthfeel, super toasty, bitter and rum is there but it's very subtle, lovely stout and excellent for not being at all sweet.

Big bottle, slightly past BB date. Black, brown tan lace. Big coffee nose, fruity, some warm spices, rum, a bit heat, dry coffee and roast flavor, dry earthy, mint, spicy coffee with staying power, quite impressive.

Bottle - I guess from HP? Thanks! Blackish body, medium greyish-tan head, gone soon. Ginormous coffee aroma, nicely roasty, dark chocolate, but some pepper, minty hops, citric, brown sugar, quite nice - and it was likely even better fresh! Lean, dry taste, nutty, roasty coffee, some alcohol, orange liqueur notes, malty roastiness, huge bitterness, enough warmth. Can't say age helped it much, rough in many ways, but this is impressive as well.

Bottle, thanks Marko! Dark dark. Just coffee, a sour one. Front heavy, also just coffee, edgy, pepper, spices, quite a hard edge, too strong boozy.

Bottle. A dark brown to black beer with a finger thick dark beige head. Roasted malts, coffee, hints of vanilla and wood some cocoa and a hint of dark dried fruits in the aroma. It's super smooth, lightly warming and quite sweet on the palate. Roasted malts, coffee, some dried fruits and hints of cocoa and vanilla. Rather short finish. Quite nice this one. Could use a bit more complexity and length though. 200606
