Sampled at BXL festival. Black with creamy light brown head. Thick roast, light seaweed, black chocolate, toffee, just loads of chocolate and toffee dessert stuff with a salty roasted kick. Over medium sweet and bitter. Full boddied.

8 4 8 4 16Draft at BXL Beerfest ‘18, Brussels. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and caramel. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

2nd day at BXL. Black with creamy dark tan head. Big sweet roasted chocolate malts and dark sugar. Massive chocolatey body. Full body and soft carbonation.

F: big, dark tanned, good retention. C: black, opaque. A: cocoa, chocolate, dark malts, bit vanilla, bit vinous, dried dark fruits, dark caramel. T: thick chocolate, cocoa, dry on the palate, toffee, bit roasted tones, plums, vinous, oily mouthfeel, very nice almost complex, need for BA version, full body, low carbonation, sample draft @ Swafff! Brussels Craft Beer Festival – 2nd. day.

Thick, black colored, medium tan creamy head. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate, cereal, bit molasses. Taste is medium to very sweet, chocolate cereal, some coffee, roasted malt, bit molasses, brown sugar, dry roasty bitterness, some alco notes, lasting choco aftertaste. Full bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. Good stuff.

Bottle at home from La Cave a Bulles, 10th May 18. Pours black and viscous, a tan head. Aroma is molassses, soy. Taste is rich, but not overly sweet, molasses, leather, meaty, soy, some dry buttress. Luxurious silky palate, long complex bitter sweet finish. Delicious.
