A lightly hazed dark amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, light bourbon barrel notes, light caramel, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light woody character, licorice, bourbon barrel notes, pleasant and smooth. Bottle at VIP Lounge Mondial 2016.

Draft at Top Hops Beer Shop, NYC. Pours pale amber and clear with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel malt and bourbon. Similar taste with some oak and vanilla. Flavor is a little weak and has an off-putting element I can’t identify. Finish is sweet with an alcoholic bite.

Pours a whiskey color from a bottle with a thin creamy white head. Aroma of sweet corn pudding, flavor sort of a cream soda with some medicinal bitterness. A bit weird but okay.

Draught @ Waterfront Ale House. Reddish amber with medium sized spngy beige head, caramel-whisky aroma, low carbonation, sweet bourbon dominated taste, long finish with alcohol aftertaste. Feels more alcoholic that it actually is.

750 ml bottle, stamp on neck reads 5/14/14. Murky brown color with flat carbonation. Aroma is odd to say the least. … Butter, weak bourbon and caramel, butter soaked raisins? Jeez, the flavor is sadly the same. Something must have went wrong with the base brew because a bourbon barrel beer should taste this buttery and sweet. What is the base beer style? I’m sorry but this recipe really needs to go back to the drawing board. Glad this was split 4 ways… 3 oz was enough

Bottled 5-14-2014: Thanks Adrien. This is a peach colored 1 finger head looks bottle carbonated but not quite sure. The nose is mildly yeasty, a slight pepper, raisin and persimmon with baked bread. Decent mouthfeel, creamy with some sweet creamed corn, finish is a sweet butterscotch caramel candy. Not a lot going on but not horrible.
