Bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours dark brown with a rocky beige head. Aromas of caramel and chocolate. Taste has a light lick of salt to it, but mostly caramel and chocolate. Balanced finish. Nice.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep brown with red chinks. Big, fluffy, beige head. Nose - burnt caramel, savoury and lightly salty. Taste - caramel & seaweed (salty bit, I presume) with a dark chocolate and honeycomb backdrop. Palate - medium bodied, dry, roasty finish. Overall - I'd say the base beer here is a dry stout rather than a porter. It's another interesting beer from Boden with another complex malt bill.
