Each small batch of Imperious is Temptation, our Imperial Russian Stout, aged in oak barrels. This year we have three versions. We aged some in rum, some in whisky, and this version has been aged in bourbon barrels. Ready now, but will continue to mature and improve over the next 3 to 5 years.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep brown to black with a cream to beige head. Nose - fudge mainly, sweet vanilla, edge of wood and booze. Distinctive toffee apple note too. Chocolate, of course. Taste - toffee apple and fudge again. Sweet chocolate too! Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Overall - very nice.
