Malt rich, with hints of chocolate, caramel and dried fruits. Cascade and Challenger add a citrus character. But, the star of the show in this beer are the rum barrels that sheparded it throughout the lockdown 2020. They have delivered a rich beer with vanilla sweetness and rum spiceiness. Its an immense beer and worthy of warming any winter.

Can thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours clear dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of coffee and hazelnut, faint brown sugar. Taste is that, plus some gnarly wood notes. A sipper.

Can from the brewery. Appearance - deep brown with red chinks. Cream to fawn head. Nose - meaty and chocolaty. An edge of something like leather. Taste - milk chocolate and hazelnut. Burnt bread. Palate - medium to full bodied. A bit gnarly, on the edge of being astringent. Overall - challenging but well worth persisting.
