Can. Dark brown/red with medium tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, dark fruit and cherry. Flavour is malt, caramel, sweet, toasted, cherry, dark fruit. almond and medium bitter.

Can from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with an off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of cherry, cranberry and biscuit. Flavour of tart berries and tea. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Sharp and unusual. It’s quite interesting but, for me, it lacks the depth of my favourite Doppelbocks.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - very cherry red with a white fluffy head that has elements of peachy pink. Nose - hazelnuts, toffee and cherry. Marzipan, in fact. Taste - more cherry liqeur, plus toffee and nuts. Praline and cherry. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. There's a tart fruit finish. Overall - very nice.

Can at ash's. Pours reddish amber, nose is caramel, toffee, cherry, taste is sweet, juicy cherry, caramel, marzipan.
