A medley of blackberry, boysenberry, and marionberry adorn a unique blend of our Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Oatmeal Stout, Deth's Tar, in this omniseasonal crowd pleaser. A bouquet of fresh, ripe fruit and bourbon give way to restrained malty sweetness punctuated by barrel and supple acidity.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dark grains, booze, berries and a bit of stone fruit with a hint of barrel supporting. Flavor has deep berry and dark grains with light roast and a growing barrel presence.

Taster at Open Door. Lovely berry nose that overwhelms and stout malt, which is a GOOD thing.Solid black, some ruby highlights, no foam , even at the edge. Taste is more of a fortified fruit wine than a bitter stout, but I am here for it after I've tried some of other big beers on draft. Bigger berry taste than, say, the various Bourbon County brambles. But I love them all. No fizz to go along with no bubbles.

Canned, 355 ml at the brewery. Black with tan head. Chocolate, bourbon, berries. More fruit forward than Cafe Bramble, lightly tart, tad sweet. Drinkas nicely for the abv.
