Thick, dark, red-brown color, with a thin beige head. Pleasant chocolate, wheat, and banana aroma. A little undercarbonated and mellow, this is still a pretty sessionable and enjoyable brew. The chocolate tones are more pronounced than in your typical DunkelWeizen. The relatively low ABV helps to let the malt and yeast flavors shine. Some subdued lemon in the aftertaste. Drinkable and pleasant, but doesn’t hold up in comparison to most German examples.
