The bottle looks great, the beer in the glass also. Almost black, dark foam. Tastes malty and strong, modest dry, not as sweet as others. A bit metallcically finish. Interesting!

Bottle from REWE, Bamberg. Amber/red colour with an off-white head. Treacly aroma with some supporting grain. Flavour was very sweet with some balancing alcohol. Distinctive.

Bottled. A brown beer with a thick but collapsing light brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel and alcohol, but also lighter notes of metal and nuts. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and nuts as well as a warming sensation from the alcohol that also burns slightly in the throat.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Very delicate - almost vinous - aroma of roasted malt. Solid body with sweet, roasted malt and some notes of dried fruit. Warming alcohol in the finish with some hops does it for me: this is an excellent Bock. 061106
