Singapore holiday - day 8/13, a small bottle from Blue Smoke, drunk at the hotel. Aroma: fresh yeast. Appearance: clear amber, a very generous creamy head. Palate: light-bodied and oily, average carbonation; long astringent finish. Taste: heavily bitter with astringency, loads of pine, a hit of tonic water. Serviceable though unremarkable.

Draft at Blue Smoke, Joo Chiat. Poured a clear medium to light amber colour with a big, mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, toffee, light herbal, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. An old skool English IPA.
