Nose is chocolate, charr, spice, dark malts, burnt toffee.
Taste comprises roasted malts, cocoa powder, charr, toffee, dried fruit rinds, brown bread, hint of liquorice.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close.
Tidy porter.

Draft at the Jolly Fisherman, Hastings. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting light tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, ashtray. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, dry ashtray, light caramel, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
