Verbena might not be the first thing that comes to mind as a beer ingredient, but this flavor enhancer, often used in cocktails and teas, brings a refreshing citrus-like touch to Iron Heart. This makes it the perfect addition for a summer saison. A saison, a classic beer style from southern Belgium and northern France, is known for its dry, blonde character and unique, funky aroma produced by yeast that thrives at high temperatures. Iron Heart adds an extra layer of complexity with the fresh, slightly tart notes of verbena, resulting in a bold and flavorful beer that is perfectly balanced.

Draft at Kompaan, Binnenhaven. Poured a crystal clear yellow golden colour with a big, lasting frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty, floral, citrus. The flavour is moderate yeasty bitter, with a dry, crisp, yeasty, lemon citrus palate. Somewhat light for 6.2%, but nice to have a more refreshing saison.
