This rich, smooth stout is brewed with a blend of six malts, resulting in a welcoming, resonant black beer. From start to finish it carries an intense roastiness reminiscent of dark chocolate; a welcome which begins on the nose and continues into the long, deep aftertaste.
Each step in the recipe was decided by our investors, the product of our annual shareholder brewday. Their selected additions of cacao and coconut combine beautifully with the woody, stone fruit edge from the Galena hops, leaving you with a complex finish tinged with coconut.

Bottle shared by Koen @ "Zunt Om Nog Langer Te Bewaren" tasting (ZONLTB). Opaque pitch black color, average sized light brown head. Aroma is dark malts, light to moderately roasty, iron, lightly vanilla. Taste malts, lightly iron, a hint of dark chocolate, a little bitter. I donβt really get any coconut. Ok body and carbonation.

Bottle from BrewDog Online. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The nose is rich roast, umami, salted liquorice, toasted coconut, dark chocolate bounty, coffee, mild smoke and tobacco. The taste is smooth roasty, cacao, toasty coconut, charred wood, coffee, tobacco and pepper with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Super smooth, well rounded and rather drinkable. Pretty tasty.

330ml bottle from the Brewdog online shop. Pours opaque dark brown, thin, long-lasting tan head. Aromas of coconut, dark chocolate, light prune note. Taste is quite oily, more prune notes, coconut, light coffee on the finish. Rich body, but drinkable too.
