8/4/2018. Bottle from the brewery taproom. Pours almost black with an average sized off-white to beige head. Aroma of light roasted malt, hops, fruit, pine and chocolate and with an initial slight edge of Stilton cheese. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, smooth texture, very soft to fine carbonation. Bitterness developing in the finish. Enjoyed this, and it was one which really developed.

Bottle split at and big thanks to James, 01/07/17. Black with a solid beige head that retains well. Nose is earthy hops, pine needle, moderate charring, brown bread, light spice. Taste comprises liquorice, red berry notes, cocoa powder, toffee, light roasted tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi dtying close dashed with earthy hop bitterness. Decent well rounded CDA!
