My first review in almost 7 years. Tenma is one of my favorite new breweries. Haven't had a stinker or even a mid beer yet from these guys. This one pours a very dark brown and looks almost black in the glass. Much lighter beige head of foam. The aroma is mildly roasted barley with some cocoa notes and dense pumpernickel bread. Flavor is the same. Very clean on the palate, dry and perfect carbonation and mouthfeel for the style. Smooth roasted finish that isn't aggressive at all. Very well done.

Draft. Mahogany beer with a tan head. Caramel and light nutty aroma. Caramel and light roast flavor. Medium bodied. Caramel and light roast linger with light nuttiness.
