What happens when you grow the Cascade hop in New Zealand? It takes on an entirely new character that you would never guess is coming from the classic hop we all know and love. Wild aromas of lime and Juicy Fruit gum explode from the hop that growers have now named “Taiheke.” Team that up with the ever so pungent and sticky Australian grown Galaxy and you’ve got a JUICE BOMB of a combination!

On tap at CHoP. Aroma is hop forward and fruity with lots of citrus, passion fruit, and lighter stone fruit notes. Hints of dank and oily, pine resin notes. Light cracker malt notes and light alcohol notes. Pours a hazy, dull, golden straw color with a medium large, thick, pillowy white head that shows nice retention as it slowly recedes to a film that lingers. Moderately high lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Moderately strong bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately strong citrus hop notes - grapefruit, orange and tropical citrus. Lighter passion fruit notes and hints of stone fruit. Light dank, oily, resin and pine notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid hazy IPA. The hop profile is bright, citrusy, and fruity with a light, balanced malt profile. Balanced bitterness and well hidden alcohol notes.

The taste is dry, bitter, sticky, resinous, pine, weedy, dank, bong rips, peppery spice, wet grass, pithy, zesty citrus, tropical vibes, lychee, guava, gummy bears and some peppery spice with a drying, green finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Tasty and quaffable.
