Brought over from Oulu by my Aunt. Smoky tar and liquorice aroma, with berries. Deep and dark. Thick beige head. Medium bitter. Coffee, which then gains more liquorice bitterness. Thick. Creamy. Fizzy carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Decent enough. The aroma promised more than it entirely delivered. Still enjoyable but then surprisingly muted.

Draught @ SOPP Tampere 2018. Aroma has cocoa and salmiac. Flavour has cocoa, fruit juice, some foamy notes and salty licorice. Nice.

On tap at Suuret Oluet Pienet Panimot - Tampere, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of alcohol, roasted malt and light phenols. Flavour is better, with lots of rich roasted malt, some alcohol and light licorice. Quite boozy and roasty - solid stuff.

SOPP, Turku. A black beer, a head is quite small and light brown. Aroma has salt liquorice, liquorice, pine, balanced sweetness, hint of chocolate. Taste has liquorice, roastiness of coffee, balacned sweetness and bitterness. Full bodied, low carbonation. Great beer.

Tap at SOPP Hki 2017. Smell of cola and roasted malt. Black colour, dark brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, tar, oak. Sweet, slightly bitter. Flat carbon.

Draft at SOPP Helsinki 2017. Opaque dark brown color beige head. Aroma of licorice and burnt toast. Taste has dark roast coffee, light edge of smoke, cocoa, coffee. Very tasty.

(Keg at SOPP Helsinki 2017) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, liquorice and dark chocolate. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A nice strong and burnt brew.

[ As Maistilan Musta Jaska ].Clear dark black color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocoalte, sweet malt, wood, licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt, licorice, wood. Tap at SOPP Tampere. Opaque black color, good creamy beige head. Aroma has cocoa and rye bread. Medium-bodied. Mellow, roasted, cocoa, some bitterness in the finish. Excellent balance. Silky.

Bottled@Kabacka, Seinäjoki. Black colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, some liuquorice, toffee, coffee and mild wooden notes. Flavour is roasted malts, toffee, ashes and some wooden notes. Wellbalanced, apart from being a bit too dry and ashy.
