A classic Best Bitter, Gower Wolf (4.0% ABV) has got a nice traditional feel to it, hints of chocolate and honey in the aroma and flavour give it character.. Locally grown hops give an edge to the smooth malt profile. A traditional pint for a traditional pub, especially on more wintry days. Great with sausage and mash.

Bottle from Redh. Appearance - amber with a creamy head. Nose - bready, toffee, a hint of citrus. Taste - creamy caramel, light biscuit. Palate - light bodied, some biscuit bitterness but could do with a bit more on the hop bitterness side. Overall - decent.

9/1/2019. Bottle at Four Hops, Reigate. Pours copper brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is earthy, malty, fruit and biscuit, caramel and a little skunky. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness with a sour berry edge. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Slightly bready, acidic finish. Not great, bb 06/19, possibly a slightly infected bottle.

Cask at EBF28. Earthy aroma, with fruity hints. Chestnut. Thick frothy creamy white head. Sweet - soft caramel - which then develops a slightly sharper berry bent. Earthy underbelly. Light bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Astringent finish. A decent pint. Two good beers from this new brewery, so far.
