Bottle at home. Aroma of sweet malt, lots of smoke, peat, hint of cocoa. Flavour is medium sweet. Body is light to medium. Seems a bit overcarbonated. An acceptable Smoked Porter, but I was hoping for more refinement.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, smoked, wood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, smoked, wood, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. [20150802] 6-2-7-2-14

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with huge, foamy, beige head diminishing under sizzling. Smoky, peaty aroma, notes of oak ashes, treacle, asphalt, TCP, tobacco. Taste is dry, smoky, peaty, moderately sweet, some treacle, barbecue marinade, leaves, tobacco; fizzy carbonation glosses over washiness. Not the kind of smokiness I like.

Bottle. Not oversmoked. Somewhat reminds me of a bamberg lager. Sweet. Notes of fennel and salmiak.
