28/9/2018. Cask at the St Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2018. Pours cloudy dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of peat, smoke, chocolate, dark fruit, liquorice, nut, plastic and tea. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Lots going on. Not a huge fan of this.

Cask gravity at the St Albans Beer festival 2018. A clear mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is earthy smoke, light phenol, liquorice, nutty malts. Berries. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty malts, lea leaves. Smoked malts, light phenol, earth, bark. Palate is semi sweet woody bark, moderate carbonation. Lingering delicate smoke. Thatched roof.
