It is only fitting that we name at least one of our beers in tribute to Gloucester’s most famous acting son and Hollywood Superstar ‘Simon Pegg’. Down a glass of our malty, caramel Amber ale and toast his ‘almost too many to mention’ comic and acting achievements but most notably zom rom com Shaun of The Dead, comic satire Hot Fuzz, an iconic role as ‘Scotty’ in the 2009 remake of Star Trek, and Mr Cruise’s co-star in Mission Impossible.

11/6/2019. Cask at the Brewhouse & Kitchen, Gloucester. Pours unclear dark dull amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of toffee, malt, light Christmas cake spices, dried fruit, rye bread and berries. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness with a light tart edge. Medium body, slight oily and watery texture, average to soft carbonation. Quite drinkable.

Cask-conditioned at the Pelican, Gloucester, 19/2/2016. Reddish-amber in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. A malty beer with berry fruits, some caramel sweetness, digestive biscuit malts and a moderately bitter finish. Good.
