Nice chunky copper coloured body with orange highlights and a very thin tan head - almost no bubbles at all. Nice aroma of metal, floral hops, apricots and malt. Medium-bodied; No bubbles - strong malty flavour with caramel, nuts and a touch of floral hops thrown in. Aftertaste a bit bland, showing some hops, but mostly caramel sweetness. Overall, a pretty subdued beer, but that could be due to its age (~1.25 years), plus the lack of carbonation is a bit off as well - but some solid flavour profiles are noticeable (apricots/caramel/malt). I sampled this 341 mL bottle purchased from Sherbrooke Liquors in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 27-December-2008, sampled from home in Washington when the Canadiens eliminated the Penguins from the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs on 12-May-2010.

Bottle: Poured a light amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with average carbonation and no lacing. Aroma of medium bitter hoops with some astringency. Taste is a mix between some dry caramel malt body with some medium bitter hosp with some astringency in the aftertaste. Body is average with some average carbonation as well. Overall, this is probably a substandard IPA and not something I would wish to try again.
