Brewed from a traditional recipe for a “Light Dinner Ale” which had been popular with the gentler classes in England throughout the 1800’s right up until the 1940’s. Premium English barley malt gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. English and American hops lend a light crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma, resulting in a softly carbonated beer ideal for a cheeky summer session.

Bottle from the Homebrew Bottle Shop, Oxton in Birkenhead. Appearance - golden amber with a nice thin head. Nose - toffee and stewed apple. Taste - more apples sauce with a touch of burnt biscuit on the finish. Palate - close to medium bodied and tangy. Tangy crunchy finish. Overall - a bit gnarly.
