The Pamoja Black IPA with speciality coffee is called ‘Pamoja’ meaning collective in Swahili, we got together with a collective consisting of a local designer, local speciality coffee shop and a local videographer to produce this special beer. Our black IPA with coffee is very complex and one of the best beers we have ever produced, everyone involved is a small scale producer or designer or local talent.

Decent. More porter-like than IPA, coffee gives a nice bitterness.

Appearance- almost black, opaque, a big thick brown head. Aroma- coffee, roasty notes, chocolate, hops, dark chocolate, hint of tobacco smoke. Taste- coffee dominates, rich chocolate cake, dark malts, chocolate fudge, toasty malt. Smooth mouthfeel, short finish.

Can from the Vineyard, Belfast. Appearance - opaque black with a nice fawn head. Nose - burnt coffee, pine and plant stalks. Taste - creamy chocolate and coffee bean. Blackcurrant on the end. Palate - medium bodied and creamy. Dry finish. Overall - tastes a lot better than it smells. Interesting and good. Not really doing the black ipa style, mind.
