On cask at the Southern. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - fruit salad. Melon and mandarin and apple. Taste - more of the same. Orange coming through strongest. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - probably the best I’ve had from Barney.

Cask at the Southern. Pours crystal clear gold, thin white head. Aromas of melon, tropical fruits, green tomato. Taste is light bitter, light sweet to balance. Thin texture, but nice.

Bottle at home. Pours clear pale golden amber, nose is light toffee and citrus, taste is dry toffee, orange.

Bottle from Vino Wines. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of pine, orange and lychee - some herbs too. Flavour of grapefruit, underripe pear and grass. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A really juicy beer - lovely stuff. I just wish it was a bit stronger... at 4.8%, it’s not really an IPA, is it?
