On keg @ the Hanging Bat. Appearance - opaque black with a proportioned head. Nose - liquorice and smoke and generally the aromas associated with a dry stout - no oysters that I can detect but really this is far too cold for a stout. Taste - more of the same and there might be a hint of salty oysters as the beer warms but maybe I’m being subliminally influenced by the name. Palate - rich, medium to thick textured, not a bad finish. Overall - Surprisingly good considering that this is served at far too low of a temperature.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours jet black with decent tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, charcoal. Tastes similar, good roasted bitterness. Not getting much smoke, or, perhaps thankfully, much saline-oysteriness. Pretty good stout though.
