Bottle courtesy of butters on 01/15/2011 at the 13th Richmond Gathering. Clear golden amber body with a small frothy white head. Sweet malty aroma with some dry hop bitter. Big malt and earthy hop flavor with a dry bitter finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of Butters. Thanks! Pours a hazy copper color with a medium tan creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of resiny, earthy, citrus hops with a lot of toffee notes. The taste is very bitter leafy hops with a citrus finish. Toffee malts. Medium bodied.

Big thanks to jcwattsrugger for giving me this brew. Pours deep copper with off white head. The aroma is bitter pine, pineapple, some floral hops and a mild level of sweet maltiness. The taste has a quick pulse of floral hops before bitter pine resin rushes in. Toward midway a touch of pineapple and citrus come to the surface before being full up pine hop bitterness takes back over. It ends with the addition of floral and earthy hops. I don’t find that this hop bill goes really well together. The floral just doesn’t seem to make it work or it may be that I’m not in the right mood for this hop cocktail. Still, it is pretty good.

Pours a clear gold with a nice off-white head that quickly falls into a soapy scum. Faint hop aroma. The flavor has a bitter bite but no malt comes on to balance it in any way. A step backward from previous projects.
