On tap at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 11/05/2010. Slightly hazy black body with a medium creamy tan head. Roast, chocolate and belgian spice aroma. Sweet roast, chocolate, belgian spice and light grainy flavor. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

On tap as "Blue Mountain Belgian Black." Aroma was chocolates, touch of caramel, not very hoppy. Flavor was chocolate, dried fruits, notes of nuts. Pretty good, though impossible to find at the moment.

Served on nitro at the brewery, 9/19/10. Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, spicy notes and a faint hoppy finish. The taste is chocolate, smoke, nuts and faint plumlike fruit notes. Medium bodied.

Tap at the brewery. Dark, little head, but looks thick. Not as thick when drinking, but a decent amount of bitter chocolate, some funky malt, and a hint of licorice. Tasty, but unremarkable.
