On tap at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 08/18/2010. Clear dark black body with a medium frothy light brown head. Big roast, chocolate and floral/resiny hop aroma. Big roast and bitter flavor with some chocolate and floral notes. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Served on cask and sampled on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a pitch black color with a thick creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of earthy, leafy and citrus hops with chocolate and a light roastiness. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, nutty notes, a faint smoky note, citrus hops with a slight lingering burn. Medium bodied. Interesting beer.
