Big white head. Hazy opaque yellow body. Strong blackberry, yuzu, and oranges aroma with mealy licorice notes. Sweetish orangey yuzu taste with mealy spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel, light carbonation. Sweetish mealy yuzu and oranges aftertaste with pine needle notes. Very interesting beer. The pors (Myrica gale) is very dominant, but I can make out the kveik, too, and just barely the pine needles. (0.5l bottle, from Gulating Strømmen. Batch #1637. I have to agree with MartinT that this is not actually a traditional ale, but then hardly any of the beers in this category on RB are, and where better to put it?)

Draught at Bryggerifestivalen, Trondheim. Low, bubbly white head. Pale yellow body with a wheat haze. Spotty lacing. Smell of forest and lemony hops. Flavoured with leafy hops, herbs, and pears backed by wheat. Mid-dry fruity endnotes. Satisfying. Autumn feel (04.08.2016).

Bottle. A hazy golden orange beer with a small, dense, white head. The aroma is quite fruity, lightly herbal and with some lemony sourness. Some gale, and a light pleasant yeast touch. It’s medium bodied, quite smooth, and a bit low on carbonation. Semi-dry, low on bitterness. Herbal, lightly forest-like flavor with some lemon and a generic fruityness. Lasting fruity, herbal finish. Would love to have more carbonation in this one, but it’s an interesting beer anyway. Easy drinkable too. 160801
