Rødbrun uklar med lys rosa skum. Lukter røde bær og noe fat. Fruktig, noe sur. Smaker bringebær, kirsebær og fat. Middels lang.

Murky rusty reddish brown colour with a tiny head. Aroma is sour fruits and berries with some mild alcohol and also a quite sharp edge to it. Flavour is rhubarbs, some tart wooden tones with some sour berries and mild acidity to it as well. Also has some wooden and mild vanillaish tones to it.

Vågsbygd. Purple color with a pink head. Aroma and flavor is vanilla, bourbon, sourness, cherry, cranberry, lemon. Nice.

Notater fra en særdeles hyggelig aften sammen med Egil og Johan, hos ham: etter en rask kalibrering med Våland Brygghus sin meget kapable brown ale gikk vi i gang med denne 0,33 boksen: uklar gammelrød med fint skum som varer. En saftig og syrlig, ganerensende fruktkompott med mild bitterhet og deilig bæraktig avslutning.

Can shared with JMD and JFE at JFE’s place 22.12.24. Murky violet. Some pink head. Fine aroma and taste of cherries. Oak and bourbon in aroma. Complex and good.

Can. A murky red beer with a small off-white head. Sourish fruity and berryish aroma with a malty sweetish hint. Some booziness. It’s medium bodied and softly carbonated, lightly warming. The flavor has the same sourish fruity and berry as the aroma, rhubarb and redcurrant. Some oak and booze. Medium length finish. Decent, the barrel adds a welcomed dimension. 241130
