Can at home. Pours hazy dark copper with dense off-white head. Aroma of caramel, cookies, notes of dark dried fruits, distinct aroma of ethanol. Tastes slightly sweet with balancing bitterness. Thin to medium bodied, alcoholic warmth. Too much alcohol in aroma and mouth feel.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 9.5%. Brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, a hint of mild Christmas spices. Medium sweet flavour (not too much), well rounded, notes of malts, caramel and mild spices.

Amber with off white head - Malt aroma with some wood notes - Malt body with some chocolate flaovurs along with some hints of wood barrel - Malt and chocolate flaovurs goes into the finish - This was good

Luke 13/24 er fra nisseverkstedet i Verksgata: klar kobberrød med fint skum som varer. Røde bær, mørke karameller, sjokolade, engelsk toffee, eik/vanilje/bourbon, og med et hint av urter i den fine bitterheten. Faktisk ganske saftig i avslutningen, hvor velværet bare varer og varer. Eminent balansert og en sann nytelse fra første stund. Jeg elsker dobbelbock og heier som alltid på de gode nissene på Klepp - keep it coming!

A really nice and tasty bock. Clear copper and a fine tan head. Fine intensity in the aroma. Balanced sweetness and a fine carbonation level. Pleasant to drink. Toffee, fruity, malty and some spices in the flavor. [Can at Komlefjorden 24]

Can, at Håndverkeren. It pours a clear chestnut colored body and a small, dense, beige head. It has a quite complex aroma with alcohol, dark dried fruit and toffee, some notes of chocolate and a distinct lager touch. Some grassy hints. It's full bodied and lightly warming, nicely carbonated and not too sweet on the palate. Toffee, dark dried fruit, a nice spiced hint, some pleasant booze and alcohol, some chocolate and roasted malts and a touch of oak on the flavor. A faint grassy hint joins the malty flavors. Lasting finish, sweet but not cloying, pleasantly warming and with a quite generous tannin addition. Delicious indeed, but it would be really interesting to taste a non-barrelled version of this. The barrels have added to the complexity, but I wonder if they also added unnecessary elements to the beer. Love it anyway. 241121
