Silver Dollar is our highly popular, award winning American Pale Ale. This 4.9% ale features a glowing amber colour, robust malt base and west coast American hops. The solid malt backbone allows us to use more of these hops, which feature a higher alpha acid content, giving a bold citrus fruit flavour and a piney character quintessential of this style of beer. The bitterness is lasting but not overpowering.

Malt: Crystal, Maris Otter, Munich & Torrefied
Hops: Amarillo, Cascade & Centennial

Bottled. Ambery golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is bready and a bit dusty maltiness along with some slight caramel, zest and mild herbal and berryish notes. Flavour is quite similar, but more dominating in a kind of fruity way.

14th Mar 2015: 500ml bottle at home during a mini rating session with myself. Poured into an Abbot Ale badged glass tankard, nice clear amber body, the head a swiftly fading affair. The nose and initial taste was caramel sweetness, then the citrus and bitterness bites. Refreshing, the finish being slightly dry. If you could get a ’Toffee Grapefruit’ on a stick at the fair, it would taste like this.

Old Wellington 21 Jan 13. Mørk gylden. Litt uklar. OK skum. Teppelacing. God fruktaroma - men litt kjemisk preg. Merkelig smak. Uidentifiserbar. Fortsatt litt kjemisk. Dorens?

5% 500ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours a surprisingly dark brown. Basically, it’s a bitter. Where are the hops?
