Cask (gravity) @ NBF 2015 [ The 40th. Nottingham Beer Festival (The 8th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival) ], Nottingham Castle, Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EB. [ As Magpie Dark Potion ].Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, moderate hoppy, spicy, oregano - thyme - rosemary. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, sharp, dark malt, roasted, spicy, this oregano - thyme - rosemary thing again i realy do not like! Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151008] 5-3-6-3-11

Gravity cask at Nottingham festival day two with fonefan, Charlotte & chriso. Cloudy brown color. Aroma of huge spice, like snorting a pizza. Spice and roast flavor. Spice dominates the roast, maybe subbing fif thd hops? Interesting as a festival beer anyway.
