Surtr, der Schwarze, ein Feuerriese und Herrscher über Muspelsheim ist ein wahrlich böser Geselle. Er ist der Feind der nordischen Götter. Während der Ragnarök zertrennt er mit seinem Schwert Surtalogi die Regenbogenbrücke Bifröst, die Midgard mit Asgard verbindet. Mit Surtalogi tötet er auch den waffenlosen Freyr und entfacht schließlich den Weltenbrand, indem er Feuer in alle Himmelsrichtungen schleudert.
Tiefe Schwärze, Feuer und Rauch, all das findet sich in unserem Smoked Porter wieder. Es liefert ein sehr komplexes, doch ausgewogenes Geschmackserlebnis, vereint Röst- und Kaffeearomen, mit Noten von Zartbitterschokolade und Dörrobst. Betont werden diese Geschmacksnuancen durch einen feinen Rauchgeschmack im Hintergrund. Trinkt mit Umsicht. Übermäßiger Genuss führt zu Weltenbrand!

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Wacken Beer Surtr ].[ Trade by Rasmus40 ]. Clear dark red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, sweet malt, bacon, meat, sweet meat, smoke, wood notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, dark malt, smoke, meat, sweet dark malt, sweet smoke, sweet meat, sweet bacon, sugary. Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark red amber colour. MOderate malty and hoppy aroma. Some smoked notes. Moderate bitter nice peated flavor. Long moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

33cl bottle. Pours clear orange brown colour with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of smoked sweet dark malt, meat, some chocolate. Taste of sweet smoked malt, dark malt, meat, chocolate, caramel, overall nice stuff.

Pours dark brown from the bottle and leaves a frothy head that slowly subsides into a thin, creamy layer. An aroma of woodsmoke greets the nose. Taste is lightly bitter and slides into a smokey finish. The body is medium, but the coffee and smoke flavors feel thin in comparison, and not without the occassional light watery note. Decent stuff.

Bottled, thanks Beerhunter111! Clear mahogany colour, small head. Tarry smoky nose. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Citrus, licorice and coffee. Medium bitterness.

Bottle@TTBS, Copenhagen - Black pour with tan head. Roasted and sweet malty with notes of chocolate, some caramel, treacle, charred burnt and smokey malty notes into the close? Good stuff.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is smoked and slight caramelish. Smoked, light fruity. Toasted malty and caramelish. Bitter and dry smoked far finish.
