On tap at Beer Shop Folkestone. Hazy deep russet colour. Lasting beige head. Malty aroma. Light sour fruit on aroma. Malty in mouth. Some sour. Its a bit like an esb strong ale but with some sour plums and damsons. Weird. Not terrible but very weird. Abv comes through. OK. But strange.

330ml can, 2024 vintage. Clear amber, beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, toffee, caramel, raisin. Taste is sweet, malty, toffee and caramel, dried fruits, raisins, a little whisky and woody, finishes somewhat dry despite the sweet start, booze is well integrated. Medium bodied. Probably would've assumed this was a barley wine if blind tasting - might be why I enjoyed it so much!

CBJ bottleshare. Thanks to Fergus for the can. Clear amber beer, small bubbly cream colour head. Airy palate. Decent fine carbonation. Good rich bready malts, a touch of creamy sweetness. Mild ripe fruits. Airy finish. Hard to pick up any barrelling after so many BA Impies. Tidy but unexciting.
