Bottle from the Black Toad. Appearance - hazy golden orange. Thin white head. Nose - orange zest and soapy hops. Taste - much like the nose. Palate - light bodied and bitter. Overall - wouldn't get another.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a pale lemon yellow with a small white head and good lacing. The nose is mainly yeast but with some citrus. Bitterness and a creamy texture are what hit the taste buds first, followed closely by grapefruit. Further sampling leads to lemon joining the grapefruit, and the finish is citrus bitterness. Not at all bad, though I would cal it a “hoppy pale” rather than a “session IPA”. But what do I know about beer styles ?
