This warming winter ale is matured for a minimum of 6 weeks in our cellar to ensure a full and smooth flavour. Deep ruby, full-bodied strong malty ale. Plum and soft fruits dominate followed by a smooth roasted finish.
The name reminds us of our early years “Cuckoo Brewing”.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Tewkesbury Winter Beer Festival 3/2/2017. Copper in colour, with a tight, off-white, head. Aroma of sweet red fruits, oranges and hedgerow hops. Flavour was sweetish, with some chewy malts, more fruit, a hint of caramel and moderately bitter finish. Good.
