This is a dark beer, but it tastes surprisingly light and fruity. Clean, restrained malt flavours come from de-husked dark malt, which lays a platform for the sort of hoppiness usually found not in a dark ale but in an American-style IPA. Aromas of tropical fruit, resinous pine, and more, emerge from a medley of highly flavoured American hops. Style - "Black IPA". If you are drinking this beer after 2019, this will be rebadged Peaky Blinder Black IPA which is now produced at our Flookburgh site.

Draught at Man In the Moon, Stockholm, July 26. Pitch black with a fluffy, lightly tanned head. Roasted aroma with citrus, pines, dark malts, coffee, a butter note. Taste is bitter-roasted. Medium bodied. Finishes dry and roasted bitter with citrus fruits. A bit simple for me, the butter notes are disturbing. Otherwise pleasant,

Tap @ Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Almost black with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and moderate hoppy - citrus. Flavor is medium sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 260716

Cask gravity @ Craft 100. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty hoppy caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel hoppy bitter citrus flavor. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel citrus hoppy finish.

Nice and tasty bipa!
Opaque black color, and a fine creamy and lasting beige head. Solid lacing. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a fine carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Semi dry texture. Pine, grapefruit hoppy, coffee, smooth nice tropical, mild roast and some chocolate.

Cask @ Friends Of Ham, Leeds. Reddish-brown with a thick head. Has lots of tropical fruits in both aroma and taste, subdued by its strength, although itโs weak tasting texture acts as a good balance for this.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden on 22nd June 2015. Deep sepia brown with thin off-white foam. Intense roasty aroma with smoky touch. Lush citric and grassy hop in-mouth with bitterness developing amid a nutty background during the finish. Full-bodied with a very smooth mouthfeel.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; opaque dark brown pour with a big frothy beige head, slightly cheesy and pine hop aroma, taste has light citrus, some roast, unwelcome cheese action, dark fruits and chocolate.
