Trail Ale is an American Amber Ale. It is brewed with Pilsner Malt, an assortment of Germanic Caramel Malts, Pennsylvania Double Dutch Malt and Pennsylvania Honey. Trail Ale is hopped lightly with newer German hops, imparting a rich floral and fruit flavor and aroma. A beer brewed to quench the thirstiest trail seekers.

Dark orange with a small head that faded quickly. Dry and bitter with black tea and citrus. Medium finish and body.

Got this at Weis in Danville, nice find. Passing thru town. Can as pictured in a local craft variety sixer for 12$! That's great! Taste has many of the ruder aspects of basic ale. Its a little bitter & sweet but not yet cloying, just almost. Not as satisfying as I would like, but almost OK. Decent co2. Just a little weird in the end. Not sure what to think, has some of the off characteristics of poorly made vienna. Go figger. I think I liked the NT White much better, JMHO. There you have it, the opinion of a rookie neophyte. BTW, I didn't get to see what it looked like, drank it right outtah the can.
