5 oz. pour on tap as part of a flight at the brewery. Appearance is clear reddish brown with thin cap of off-white head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong sweet malt and caramel. Taste is strong roasted slightly earthy malt, bordering on toffee. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, pretty true to style. Doesn't stand out in any way.

Can from the Packie Pours a dark amber color with ruby highlights and a small but long lasting frothy off white head. Bready toasty nutty caramel maltiness with stone fruits and earthy spicy hops to counter. Caramel is a bit strong for the style and there's a fruity fermentation character that's out of place in a lager. Tasty beer though.

Big pounder can thanks to my daughter who lives in new hamp. Nice and dark is the pour. Head fades. Nose is big fat ornery bock. Taste is warming volatile slightly burned lager. Big strong bock personality, good example of a domestic bock. Comes across like those from the old country. Not bad, finish seems like its more than 7%.
