Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, mild smoke, dried dark fruit, mild spice, cinnamon, light bourbon. Flavor is light sweet, light spiced, roast malt, caramel, spice, cinnamon, vanilla, light pepper, light smoke, plums, light bourbon. Bottle. Aroma of soy sauce, roasted malts, smoked malts,faint dark dried fruit like note, but not raisins, less sweet. Intense aroma with a great use of smoked. smoked malty flavor with tons of ordinary roasted malts too, the smoke is very integrated in the flavor, reminds me of campfire bread when I was a kid (sometimes it got a bit smoked/burn too). Plums round off the roasted and smoked thick malty flavor quite well, Very brutal, but also very tasty. probably one of the best smoked black beers i have tasted. Very flavor intense, you cannot in any way taste the 13% alc.
