On tap at Nedre Foss Gård, Oslo. Surprisingly pale golden with a very modest, white head. Fruity and somewhat herbal aroma with some almost soapy notes. Moderate sweet with mild, but fairly pleasant flavours and a quite decent bitterness. Fairly light and refreshing enough, but not quite my kind of beer.

Cask gravity at Firkin Alehouse Folkestone. Clear pale gold. Very much in the Marble Pint style. Grassy hop. Just a little ascetic or lemony good condition. Ok.

Euston Tap. Cask. Almost clear paleish gold beer, decent white head. Palate is light and semi dry. Good fine carbonation. Very light pale malts. Mild dry floralness. Tangy but insipid citrus, light lemon. Dry finish. Mild pithy peel linger. The whole is a bit better than the sum of it’s parts but it’s a conservative beer.

Cask at Earl of Essex. It pours very pale gold with a tiny white head. The nose is soft, sweet, orange muffin, pond water and big sulphurous/farty edge to it. The taste is crisp, soapy, lemon citrus, grapefruit, straw, pepper, pithy, grainy with a dry finish. Light-medium body and low carbonation. Flat and farty... Not great.

Cask at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy white head. Dry pale malts in the nose with notes of straw, lemon rind. Dry dough. Light sweet flavor with low bitterness, some crispy biscuit and hay, mild dried citrus, rind, pale bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Pretty well balabed to finish with more dry, bisuity pale malts, lemon rind, mild bitter straw and hay. A classic kind of golden ale.

Taste of very light pale malt, soft cereal, very light bitter hops, touch of citrus, light flavour
Palate - Light body, bit creamy, quite watery, soft mouthfeel. Finish a bit dry, soft bitter, soft cereal, light biscuit

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden on 19th October 2014. Pale, hazy gold with thin white foam. Mildly citric aroma. Slight sulphuric touch. Hoppy and fruity in-mouth with berries salient over lemon and grapefruit. Lactic notes develop into finish that carries both milky and citric lines. Light, textured mouthfeel, slightly flatter than expected. 6/3/7/3/14 RE-RATING JULY 2015: Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 10th July 2015. Clear gold with shallow off-white foam. Hoppy spicy aroma. Intense floral hop in-mouth with some spice. A late, rear-mouth citric burst. Floral and citrus dominate the finish. Light-bodied with engaging texture. 6/4/7/3/14

Cask at CBC Holborn, 22/10/14. Clear golden with a decent off white covering that dissipates then retains. Nose is pale malt, bready notes, orange, bitter fruit overtures, straw. Taste comprises much the same, a little stale bread, apricot, malty notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a touch of bitterness. Ok easy drinker but nothing to get excited about.
