Simply described as a Belgian Stout with Honey, “Darkness Doubled” was originally designed in the vein of an Imperial Stout, but we included our Saison yeast, as well a large portion of Belgian specialty malts, then finished it with 300 lbs of California spring wildflower honey. The beer was then aged in a choice selection of bourbon barrels over the last 12 months. The result is BIG (17.1%!), bold, and smooth, with the honey adding a considerable viscous mouthfeel.
