In 1966, Oldsmobile released the first model of the Toronado. In 1987, the Toronado opened its doors at 547 Haight St., and the rest is history. 1966, a beer crafted in honor of this storied institution's 35th anniversary, is a blend of munichwine, barleywine, and a touch of double-barrel quadruple. It is arguably Private Press's most dynamic blend. The blend presents waves of spice, caramel, fruit, vanilla, and a touch of botanical bitterness that washes over the palate with a long, ever-changing finish.
