[ As Cloudwater Austerity is Killing Me ].
ABV: 3.5%. Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, toffee, dark malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, sweet malt, dark malt, fruity malt, toasted, toffee. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Served as real ale at cloudwater. I think itโs still a bit too oxidized and harshly astringent.

Cask at stormbird Camberwell via welfare bus. A clear copper amber coloured pour with a lasting speckled beige head. Aroma is nice green berry, pine, liquorice, sap,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, layered nutty toasted malts with a little green liquorice, piney hop, green berries. Palate is semi sweet, rounded good lively cask condition. Good stuff. Bitter with new world hops.

Cask at Stormbird in Denmark Hill. Pours chestnut brown with a decent white head. Aroma is a solid malty backbone, hazelnut, caramel and biscuit. Taste is quite a sweet hit, plenty of caramel malt, hint of nut in there. Finish gets bitter and balances the sweetness. Decent stuff

Cask at the Star and Garter, Bromley. Copper coloured pour with a white head. Nice grapefruity nose, lemon peel,bitter herb. Taste is grapefruit, touch of kiwi fruit, more lemon. Interesting.
